Robert Shingledecker Shares Upcoming Release Candidate of Tiny Core Linux 6.4.1

Renowned maintainer Robert Shingledecker, known for his expertise in Linux, has excitedly announced the immediate download and testing availability of the first Release Candidate (rc1) build of the highly anticipated Tiny Core Linux 6.4.1 operating system.

This exciting release brings a multitude of small yet noteworthy improvements to Tiny Core Linux 6.4. For instance, the tce-load and tce-setup components have been modified to ensure that the /mnt/test directory no longer remains hanging. Additionally, ondemand and tc-functions components now have the capability to quote arguments.

Notably, the tc-functions component has also been updated to allow the passing of arguments to ondemand items without the need for .desktop files. Furthermore, both ondemand and tc-functions components now support the passing of arguments, and the former will no longer start automatically.

“Team Tiny Core is pleased to unveil the latest Tiny Core 6.4.1 release candidate for public testing,” shares Robert Shingledecker. “We kindly request that testers proceed with caution to ensure that no data is lost. Your careful testing and valuable feedback are greatly appreciated.”

You can now download all editions of Tiny Core Linux to experience the power of this Release Candidate. Grab the ISO images of Tiny Core 6.4.1 RC1, Tiny Core Plus 6.4.1 RC1, and Tiny Core Linux 6.4.1 RC1 from Softpedia.

Please keep in mind that these are pre-release versions of Tiny Core Linux 6.4.1, and the final release is expected to hit the market in the coming weeks. For this reason, we do not recommend installing any of these operating systems on production machines where stability is crucial.
